A Personal Mission…

Aegis was founded by decorated US Navy SEAL Kenneth J. Stethem, a 20 year veteran and former Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician.

Stethem had a very personal reason for starting the company: the death of his brother SW2 Robert D. Stethem, who was murdered in 1985 by terrorists during the hijacking of TWA Flight 847.

From this personal tragedy, and after the events of September 11, 2001, Stethem was determined to build products and a company whose mission was to Defend, Protect and Preserve Life by engineering the world’s most advanced professional security solutions.
